Cake & Ale can be any type of food or drink depending on the season or moon. Pagans bless their food and drink as a way to strengthen their connection with Spirit and in gratitude for the sacrifice made by the plants and animals that provide. It's common practice for the one offering the food or drink to do so with 'May you never hunger' or 'May you never thirst'. The same blessing can be returned by the one receiving the offering. These are merely some examples to guide and ignite the imagination.
