Casting Circles 1996 CO1

Circle casting can vary dependent on the reason, attendance, as well as the Season. These are merely some examples to guide and ignite the imagination.

Casting Circles, 1996
Casting the Circle
  Maiden, Using Wand
I cast this circle in the name of the Maiden.
Holy Maiden Huntress,
Artemis, Artemis,
Maiden come to us

  Mother, Using Incense
I cast this circle in the name of the Mother.
Silver shining wheel of
Radiance, Radiance
Mother, come to us

  Crone, Using Athame
I cast this circle in the name of the Crone.
Ancient Queen of wisdom,
Hecate, Cerrwiden
Old One come to us

Maiden, Mother & Crone: holding hands skyward saying:
We are a Circle within a Circle
With no beginning, and no ending.
We are the fire that keeps returning
The eternal flame, forever burning.

Casting the Circle
Here is the boundary of the circle.
Naught but love shall enter in,
Naught but love shall emerge from within.
Charge this by Your powers, Old Ones

Casting the Circle
I conjure Thee, O great circle, so that you will be for us a boundary between the world of men and the realms of the mighty spirits,  a meeting place of perfect love, trust, peace and joy, containing the power we will raise herein.  I call upon the elements of the East, South, West, and North, to aid us in the construction of this circle.  In the name of the Horned Lord and Radiant Lady, thus do we call to Thee.  This circle is sealed.

Casting the Circle
Lift your voice all who are able!  Sing unto the Goddess this day!  ‘Blessed Be’ the flowers sing, and the blades of grass gently sway.  The birds of the meadows sing their sweetest of songs unto the Goddess.

Casting the Circle
Celebrate the Goddess as our Virgin, all perfect and without blemish.  She is all innocence and goodness.  All that is perfect and new is as the Goddess.  Let her praises be heard!  The circle is cast once.

Honor the Goddess as our Mother, fruitful and blessed.  She is awaiting Her song!  Let it be heard from all nations, from across the Earth.  Let all nature sing her praises.  The circle is cast twice.

Behold the Goddess as our Crone, ancient and wise beyond our understanding.  She takes each precious moment to teach us.  The circle is cast thrice.

‘Blessed Be’ the Goddess and all who love Her.  For Her love is eternal and cares not at our appearance, nor at our understanding.  She care only that we give love to Her and to all Her beautiful creations!  “Blessed Be”

Casting the Circle
So I cast and consecrate this Circle of the small and great:
By Fin and Feather, Leaf and Tree.  By Rock and Earth, Land and Sea:
By Fire and Water, Earth and Air.  By the Lord, and Lady fair:
By Love and Joy, Work and Play.  All things harmful cast away.
By lightning’s flash, and rain’s soft fall:
By the Power that made us all.  By the Power that Blesses Thee:
I cast this Circle, Blessed Be.

Casting the Circle
Always has life fulfilled its cycle and led again to life in the eternal wheel of the living. In honor of the Old Ones, we mark the fullness of our lives and the harvest of this year's lessons.  Everyone may now concentrate on the richness of life, this moment of balance between light and dark, and the harvest of our life's lessons, while we honor the changing of the season by casting this circle.

To the good seasons that have gone and the good ones yet to come. The circle is cast once, in Balance and Alignment.  So Mote it be.

To the Earth! May she bring peace, bounty, and fulfillment to all her children. This circle is cast Twice, in Compassion and Generosity. So mote it be.

This circle is cast Thrice, in Strength and Unity. So Mote it be.

Casting the Circle
Here is the boundary of the circle.
Naught but love shall enter in,
Naught but love shall emerge from within.
Charge this by Your powers, Old Ones.

Casting the Circle
On the mists, East, South, West, and North
Come ye Dragons, we call you forth
At our bidding, Magick bring
Stay with us in our Sacred Ring
Thrice circle round, this area bound
as above, so below, this circle is sealed.

Casting the Circle
Ten thousand years we’ve struck the fire, Creation’s music freely sung.  With Magick joined we’ve praised the stars, Since first the world had begun.  Our spirit lives in timeless dance, The Tarot and the Rune.  And nights united in the power, Of Drawing Down the Moon.  With Malice toward no-one, and Harm to none;  If the Goddess so desires it, then let it be done!
This Circle is cast, Blessed Be.
